You thought the only way football players could sustain injuries was through violent collisions with opposing players that would rather rip their face off than treat their girlfriends to dinner.

Little did you know, there was another way. A far darker, sinister path to injury that has yet to make its way onto the gridiron but has begun to plague the Florida Gators 2012 football program, starting with defensive tackle Omar Hunter.

The fifth-year senior stands in at 6-foot and is listed at 313 pounds, but that’s before dinner. He has been manhandling SEC opponents for half a decade. In that time, he has grown to fear very little.

However, there is one thing lurking in the shadows of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, moving like a large, dancing, dangerous mist through the team’s locker room, the film room and up and down the corridors of the team’s workout facilities.

That dread, that revulsion, that abhorrence currently skulking about the team and its facilities is very real.
