“Doghouse” is word that has been whispered around when describing UF receiver Andre Debose’s status with the Florida Gators football team.

The fourth-year junior with sprinter-type speed appeared to be primed for a breakout season after dazzling as a returner and leading all of 2012’s returning players in receiving yards (432) in 2011.

Shortly into fall camp though, word began leaking out that Debose was not seeing as many first-team repetitions as others. He even appeared with the “OR” between his name alongside true freshman Latroy Pittman as a No. 2 receiver on the team’s first depth chart of the fall.

On Monday, Florida coach Will Muschamp addressed Debose’s situation at length and appeared to put part of the blame on his own shoulders. Of the 13 players who have caught a pass this season, Debose has not been one of them.
