After he was sacked six times against Georgia and was limping noticeably in the second half in his return from an ankle sprain, John Brantley’s status for Vanderbilt seemed somewhat up in the air.

Brantley entered the postgame press conference at Everbank Field in a walking boot on his right ankle, but he’s expected to play again this weekend when the Commodores come to town for the Gators’ homecoming game.

“John Brantley seems to be fine, actually was pretty good coming off the game, better than we thought,” head coach Will Muschamp said. “Hopefully we’ll be able to get under center with him some this weekend.”
