Oft-injured cornerback Jeremy Brown’s return to action helps solidify an already solid Florida Gators secondary. Florida plays at Tennessee at 6 p.m. on Saturday, and Brown was strong for the orange and blue the last time the Gators traveled to Knoxville.

Brown was medically cleared to play in last Saturday’s 20-17 win at Texas A&M after missing fall camp with a wrist injury he suffered in July. After enrolling at UF in January of 2008, he dazzled during spring practices. He even appeared to have earned the starting nod opposite of Joe Haden before hurting his back over the summer and missing the next two seasons. He missed all of last season with a knee injury after starting 10 games opposite Janoris Jenkins in 2010.

“Jeremy Brown coming back really is a great story of, ‘hang in there and keep persevering,’” said UF defensive coordinator Dan Quinn last week. “I was really excited to see him come back. You know he’s had some setbacks over the last year and a half.
