ShareHunter Joyer: A different threat
When you think of the Florida Gators 2012 rushing attack, one name comes to mind: senior Mike Gillislee. Gillislee has patiently waited his turn to be the feature back of the Gators, and this is his one opportunity.
While Mike Gillislee will receive a bulk of the carries for the Florida football team, with Mack Brown and Chris Johnson playing in a reserve role, there is one player that has been forgotten about in the Gators’ offensive rushing attack: sophomore fullback Hunter Joyer.
During his freshman campaign, the Wesley Chapel native proved that he was worthy of his No. 1 fullback rating from both Rivals.com and Scout.com in 2011. He provided exceptional blocking on special teams and out of the I-formation. However, it was Joyer’s running ability that stood out the most.
