ShareHas Jenkins played his last game at UF?
Junior linebacker Jelani Jenkins may have played his final game in a Florida Gators’ uniform. He will have foot surgery and miss the bowl game, coach Will Muschamp said during his Monday news conference.
It could be a college career-ending injury for Jenkins if he decides to forgo his senior season for the NFL Draft. CBSSports.com recently posted its draft projections with Jenkins rated as the No. 5 outside linebacker in this draft class.
Jenkins suffered the injury on his “lower foot” during Saturday’s 37-26 win at Florida State. The No. 4 Gators finished the season with an 11-1 record, becoming the fifth 11-win team in the school’s history, with the come-from-behind victory.
