More than bragging rights were at stake when the Florida State Seminoles and Florida Gators took the field on Saturday night in Doak Campbell Stadium.

For the Gators, a win would guarantee a BCS bowl berth just one season after playing in the TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl. With a loss, the Gators would have been out of BCS contention and likely traveled to the Outback Bowl or Capital One Bowl.
