The Florida-South Carolina series dates back to 1911.
On Oct. 21 of that year, the two teams met for the first time, and the game ended in a 6-6 tie, one of three ties in series history.
Florida and South Carolina continued to meet frequently until 1939, when other than a lone meeting in 1964, the series was put on hold until 1992.
