Prior to Saturday’s game against Missouri, Gators coach Will Muschamp told offensive coordinator Brent Pease that he needed to call the run.

In the team’s first five games, tailback Mike Gillislee had established himself as the focal point of the offense and one of the nation’s most talented players. During the past three weeks, Gillislee has been bottled up.

Last week in a loss to Georgia, Gillislee never established a rhythm behind a largely ineffective offensive line. The entire offense struggled likewise as the Gators were kept out of the end zone for the first time all season.
