Gators very cautious about flu epidemic
Caution is the word for the number one-ranked Florida Gators, who finished their heavy work in preparation for Saturday’s game with Troy (12 noon, Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, ESPN/SEC Network) Wednesday afternoon. The Florida medical staff is very much aware of the flu epidemic that has sent as many as 20 Ole Miss players to the infirmary. “I’m scared to death,” said Florida coach Urban Meyer after a Wednesday practice without junior linebacker Brandon Hicks, whose dehydration issues had team doctors concerned about the flu.
