Gator Country

This week’s Gators Tweets of the Week edition features a bit of a change in format as we review tweets from current Florida Gators football players.

Thanks to feedback from a Gator Country member, we’ve switched from the notes-style format to feature more of the tweets only with less commentary in between. We did keep a little of that in to add context where needed.

As always, the tweets from Florida football players are unedited and appear in their original form. That said, please keep in mind that some of the tweets feature language that is not appropriate for children.

Florida defensive end signee Jonathan Bullard (@JBullard90) as a reminder he’s still not on campus. “Day out with bro in charlotte !” he tweeted on Saturday. Bullard has been cleared academically to enroll at UF for the fall semester and can begin fall camp with the rest of the team on Aug. 4.

From true freshman Rhaheim Ledbetter (@UFHeim) on Saturday: “I Love being a Florida Gator...”

Leon Orr (@MrLrgJack_44) may have song writing in his future after this tweet on Saturday: “I could do unimaginable things to your body , but I jus wanna make love to your mind . . . . While I play with your soul – Lrg” And here’s another from Mr. Orr earlier in the week: “I could go home and flip a hundred pack easy an catch up with you so called goonz , I wanna see you get a D1 scholly and do what I do ! #lrg”

Linebacker Gideon Ajagbe, who often tweets about his faith in God, with this one that was a little out of character early Saturday: “Mudbutt in the morning can’t beat that!!!😉”

Earl Okine (@Young_BuRrR91), who could be quoting a song here, we’re not sure: “Call me sub zero cause Im oh so cold #coldblooded”

A couple of Friday tweets in a row razzed Tevin Westbrook (@SuperTEv87) for getting tackled by Ajagbe (@Giddy25Cheessee) came from Trey Burton (@TreyBurton8) and included a link to a video: “Check my boy @Giddy25Cheessee running over my boy @SuperTEv87 in high school! Ahhhh”

Westbrook replied: “That old ass film from Sophmore year… Smh”

Then Ajagbe tweeted: “lol show trey the other pic of u tackiling me”

Westbook: “I don’t have it anymore. I deleted it. But Damn u trucked me”

Freshman Jafar Mann (@JayRuu3M_UF) playing a video game: “Just made a sack wit myself lol I’m number 96 in #Ncaa13”

Running back Mike Gillislee on girls wearing makeup: “I ate when girls overdue make up make they as look like a clown”

Earlier on Friday, Gillislee tweeted “#nw sponge bob” followed by I ish I was a kid again” (note: #nw means now watching)

Damien Jacobs headed to Atlanta for the weekend. At least a portion of the trip included a bus ride. “Dude just got on the bus smelling like 3-5 days of no shower” was followed by “I’m glad my stop coming up, my stomach can’t take it”

Offensive lineman Jon Halapio (@Jhalapio67): “ESPN just ranked our O line 10th in the SEC. I hope all the players see this!! #GatorNation #GatorFamily #GatorStrong”

Freshman tight end Colin Thompson (@ColinThomasonUF) flew home for the weekend, but not before breaking his phone Thursday: “Should have put a case on my iphone… learned my lesson #Shesagoner”

Westbrook: “A tornado flew around my room before you came, excuse the mess it made, It usually doesn’t rain.......”

Josh Evans (@JAY_E_9): “I honestly think being nosy is just part of being a female lol no offense ladies but I swear y’all just got to know it all...”

Okine referencing his old head coach on Thursday: “You don’t like where you’re at? Don’t get mad..just get a little better_ Urban Meyer #Grind”

Freshman receiver Latroy Pittman (@Pitt_2time): “Never let a bad day alter your focus its merely a distraction but let it fade away like smeared lip stick #Bettertomorrows”

Orr on Thursday: “My mind on my mula , and my feet ain’t stopping til I get enough . #HungryahhGator.” And then another “I’m grinding for my daughter , and i’ll never let a hater stop my cash flow ! #Lrg”

Ked Johnson (@MoneyHigh93) with what appears to be some personal tweets: “I got a lil cousin that I love to death, but I swear everyday I wake up and hope he ight! Jit be havin me stressing...smh” That was followed by “Wish I could have did more to keep my baby cousins from out that life, now they live trife...”

Jaylen Watkins (@jwat14) on Thursday: “Life is full of ups and Downs....best thing you can do is try and turn as many Downs as you can into ups #truestory”

Tight end A.C. Leonard (@CoolBreezeSwagg), who was suspended during the spring: “As I grow in life I find myself makin better decisions everyday!”

Gillislee on Wednesday: “I got tebow last snap in the swamp in the bowl game#memories”

Clay Burton (@CashBurton88) on Wednesday: “Man vs. Food isnt the best show to watch when you are starving.. #notetoself” Clay seems to enjoy reality TV because he also tweeted “#StorageWars” on Tuesday.

Trey Burton (@TreyBurton8) on Wednesday: “Just trying to make someone 😃 @ Shands Children’s Hospital At UF” He was joined by UF basketball player Patric Young on the visit.

Stephen Alli (@stephen89alli) in response to some tweeting with the hastag #CanadaProblems: “Its funny how my FULL athletic scholarship doesn’t FULLY cover my rent..because I’m international I get less than everyone else...seem fair”

Westbrook: “Hate when people let they bad ass kids run around in public! Why’d you bring em out, you knew they were gonna break somethin.”

More Westbrook: “Hate having class with a teacher that speaks 4 different languages but not one of them is English… Smh #WhatAreYouSaying”

Jessamen Dunker (@DunkBadass74): “Hard times are just motivation for a better future.”
