Though the offense needed time to get going in the first half, Florida's defense and special teams provided the No. 2 Gators with a fast start in their 44-11 home win against the No. 7 Gamecocks.

Overall, it was an "A" effort from a team that continues to control its own destiny in the Southeastern Conference Eastern Division.
