ShareFred Taylor weighs in on Florida Gators football
Fred Taylor was back in Gainesville for the Allstate Sugar Bowl Fan Fest at UF’s Reitz Union on Saturday.
The former Florida Gators All-American and NFL running back signed autographs and helped draw the winners of five pairs of tickets to the Sugar Bowl, which kicks off Jan. 2 in New Orleans between Florida and Louisville.
Taylor’s son, Kelvin Taylor, is a running back who is verbally committed to sign with Florida. Kelvin also was in town for his official visit, but was back at the hotel during the Fan Day event. Fred Taylor still appears to be in playing shape and said he never turns down an opportunity to take on, and take down, his son in a foot race.
