The Florida Gators rallied from behind for a 27-20 victory against Louisiana-Lafayette at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday.

The Gators used a punt block by Louchiez Purifoy that was returned by a touchdown by Jelani Jenkins to prevent the game from going into overtime in the closing second of regulation.

It certainly was a closer-than-expected outcome and the second one-touchdown victory against an unranked team in as many weeks after the Gators suffered their first loss of the season, a 17-9 defeat against Georgia in Jacksonville on Oct. 27.

Still, a win is a win as far as recruits and national rankings are concerned. Florida (9-1 overall, 7-1 in SEC play) remained No. 7 in the Associated Press Top 25 and USA Today Coaches Polls that were released Sunday afternoon.
