Florida Gators No. 4 in AP, coaches’ polls

The Florida Gators had the week off while others, such as Alabama and Georgia, battled for conference championships. Despite not playing, the 11-1 Gators moved up in both the Associated Press Top 25 and the USA Today Coaches’ Polls.

Florida comes in at No. 4 in both polls and will learn its bowl destination during ESPN’s BCS Bowl Selection Show at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday. The Gators are ahead of Georgia in both polls, which assures them of a spot in a BCS bowl.

The Gators are expected to move up a spot to No. 3 in the BCS Standings, which would put them ahead of Georgia after its 32-28 loss against Alabama. That means Florida would be among the two highest SEC teams in the standings and play in a BCS bowl game.
