With Florida football coach Will Muschamp expected to announce his two-deep roster on Monday, GatorCountry.com decided to have four staffers make their own two-deep predictions.

Who will start where and who will backup those starters is what we debate all too often internally. It sometimes can change with one positive comment on a player by Muschamp or Gators defensive coordinator Dan Quinn or offensive coordinator Brent Pease.

That’s the nature of college football practices and a constant battle for coaches to get the absolute most effort out of 105 players on a consistent basis. Players go up, players go down. Some have great weeks, then falloff. Some are a daily rollercoaster, motoring up on Monday and then sputtering on Tuesday.

Others dominate daily. Those are the starters. Picking those guys are the easy choices at most of the positions. However, reserves are equally important. They can make or break a season. It’s football. Players can and will be injured, so depth — and quality depth — helps win Saturdays in the fall.

Without further ado, here are the two-deep projections by Gator Country’s Mike Capshaw, Ben Cornfield, Phillip Heilman and Andrew Spivey listed in alphabetical order by the writer’s last name. Below that, there are explanations by each writer as to why they put who where. Some of us made predictions as far as the way Muschamp may announce it, while others made their own list of the way they believe the two-deep should be.

Now, please understand these are nowhere near official. We just wanted to have a little fun with putting these together as the final week of preparations gets underway.
