Florida Gators: 2012 class evaluation

With the dust settling on the regular season, GatorCountry.com wanted to take a look back at the Class of 2012 to see who played, and who redshirted, for the Florida Gators football team.

The No. 3 Gators (11-1) play No. 21 Louisville (10-2) in the Allstate Sugar Bowl at 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 2 in New Orleans’ Superdome. Several newcomers will contribute heavily with at least one freshman expected to start.

"Contribute" may not be a powerful enough word to describe the impact this class had on this season. Antonio Morrison, who is expected to start at linebacker in place of Jelani Jenkins, made a game-changing play in Florida’s 37-26 victory against Florida State, which secured the Gators’ BCS bowl berth.
