ShareUF football notes: Positive Powell
Junior Ronald Powell was full of positive energy during the Florida football media day inside the Touchdown Terrace in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Thursday.
Powell, who plays the buck position for the Gators, won’t be able to practice with the rest of the team when practices begin on Friday. He suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee during the Orange & Blue Debut spring scrimmage on April 7. The recovery time was projected to be between 4-6 months, but he’s confident he will return to the field this fall.
Going through the rehabilitation process has helped Powell mature in ways he never imagined. He reflected on his progress physically, and especially mentally.
