ShareFlorida focusing on fundamentals
The Gators strapped on the full pads for Saturday, but there wasn’t a whole lot of hitting or the typical 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 work that has accompanied Florida’s Saturday practices for the past few years.
The reason is simple. Coach Will Muschamp still thinks the Gators have a lot of individual work to do before they’re ready to do a lot of team drills.
“We need to improve our fundamentals, such as pad level, hand placement,” Muschamp said. “After watching the film Saturday, we need to do it even more to get fundamentally where we need to be.”
