Desperation time?
Phil Fulmer can’t water down the field at Neyland Stadium Saturday afternoon when the Florida Gators travel to Knoxville to face the Tennessee Vols (3:30 p.m., ESPN). Captain Bob Neyland (he became a general during World War II) did that 80 years ago when Florida came to Knoxville and he got away with it because they didn’t have ESPN, The Weather Channel and cable television back in those days. So, even if Fulmer thought about watering down the field, he couldn’t get away with it.
