DAY 1-A: Defense in-depth

The defending BCS national champion Florida Gators opened fall camp amid much fanfare on Thursday morning with a practice that hit the ground running well before the scheduled 6:10 start time. Defense is the strong part of this group, only one member of the travel squad (Torrey Davis) does not return from 2008. It's always difficult to gauge the defense coming out of the first practice in which there is no contact, but there were some definite first impressions made on an dewy August morning.
