Commentators weigh in on Gators

While some fans can be critical of the guys and girls that offer commentary during televised broadcasts, the announcers do often offer sharp insight and point out interesting facets over the course of football games.

The opening game of the 2012 season for the Florida Gators was called in the booth by Mark Jones and former University of Washington quarterback Brock Huard for ESPN. While there were few earth-shattering details shared during the telecast, the crew, Huard specifically, had a few interesting items to point out concerning the Gators. Former USA Olympic softball player-turned sideline reporter Jessica Mendoza, also provided solid commentary. She is probably the most familiar with Gainesville by now as she has done a number of telecasts for Florida softball.
