ShareColumn: Muschamp says 2011 not okay
On Saturday, I wrote a column ripping the state of Florida’s program.
Florida had just beaten Furman 54-32, but the Gators struggled for much of the game against a much inferior FCS team. Worse, the Gators seemed genuinely excited about the win and generally proud of how they played, coach Will Muschamp included.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t come back today and let you know how Muschamp really felt after he had a few days to let the game sink in.
“Defense was totally unacceptable,” he said Monday. “Tackling was poor, leverage with the ball, lack of communication in some areas, couple of blown situations for touchdowns. Just totally unacceptable.”
