Coaches Corner: LSU vs UF breakdown

Tom Furland  |  October 15, 2008  |  1 Comment

Coming into this game, the thought by many (myself included) was that Florida had the talent to win this game but execution left something to be desired. LSU figured to have a fierce front 7 and Florida’s offensive line was improving but still not hitting on all cylinders. The Gators had executed extremely well in spurts, as in the Arkansas, Hawaii, and Miami games, but had yet to hit on all cylinders as a unit. Whether it was Tebow’s inability to hit a receiver on the deep ball, Emmanuel Moody and Kestahn Moore’s injuries, and the inconsistency in both personnel and execution on the offensive line, the feeling was that the Gators would have to do enough offensively for the defense to pull out a close win.
