In 1992, the Southeastern Conference went to two divisions and LSU was named as one of the two Western Division opponents the Gators would face each season along with Auburn.
In just a few years, the SEC would change that, and Auburn was dropped as an annual opponent, leaving LSU the only annual UF opponent from the West since.
With future scheduling still in the air, it is not known how this rivalry will changed or not, but it has been a good one for both schools.
