Spring football practice was very important for the Florida Gators, who look to improve upon a 9-4 2007 campaign. While the Orange and Blue Debut was mostly for entertainment purposes for a crowd of 61,000 at The Swamp and a national television audience on ESPN, the previous 14 practices were what mattered most. In terms of making progress, identifying some new playmakers and finding some players to fill in some gaps, this was a very good spring for Coach Urban Meyer and it should carry over to a very good fall.
