Few linemen have ever arrived at Florida with the hype of Matt Patchan. A US Army All-American out of Seffner Armwood, Patchan shunned Miami, where his dad played college football for the Gators, arriving in Gainesville in January so he could participate in spring practice. Patchan had mononucleosis last year and suffered both a gunshot wound and a torn pectoral muscle during the summer. He’s starting to regain his health and could be a factor on the defensive line this fall. Gator Country caught up with Patchan for a few questions Tuesday.
