Video: McElwain Makes National Championship Declaration

New Florida Gators head football coach Jim McElwain stopped by the Gator basketball game on Saturday.

During halftime of the Gators win over Arkansas, McElwain stepped to mid court to cheers, applause and even some bowing courtesy of the student section.

He didn’t speak long, but made sure to say he was happy to be here with the best fans and the best brand in the country.

He then went on to assure fans his newly assembled staff is determined to get the Florida football program back where it belongs…in a national championship game.

You can watch McElwain’s full halftime speech below.
