Scottie Pippen bankruptcy update

Dear Loyal GCers,

In my column “Thoughts of The Day: January 25, 2014“, I included a short blurb regarding the bankruptcy of Scottie Pippen. My sources for this information include, but are not limited to, the following:

Two days later, on January 27, 2014, Mr. Pippen’s lawyer contacted Gator Country with an update on his client’s financial status.

That’s all the news that’s fit to print.

Franz Beard
Back in January of 1969, the late, great Jack Hairston, then the sports editor of the Jacksonville Journal, called me on the phone one night and asked me if I wanted to work for him. I said yes. The entire interview took 30 seconds. It's my experience that whenever the interview lasts 30 seconds or less, I get the job. In the 48 years that I've been writing and getting paid for it, I've covered Super Bowls, World Series, NCAA basketball championships, BCS championship games, heavyweight title fights and what seems like thousands of college football, baseball and basketball games. I'm a columnist and special assignments editor for Gator Country once again, writing about the only team that ever mattered to me, the Florida Gators.

  1. I guess Scottie got his panties in a wad. Well, I guess it’s nice to see that Scottie can still afford a lawyer. And I think it’s safe to say he should at least give half of his money to Mr. Michael Jordon. LOL. Just kidding, Scottie. :)

  2. Ah lawyers, Shakespeare was right. I just want to know what happens to intelligent people when they go to law school? Is there a secret creed that says that 90% of graduates must turn into assholes? Maybe I’ll be sued, but I can counter that it’s common knowledge, everyone knows that most attorneys are assholes, that’s why they are avoided like the plague.
