LSU surges to front of GC Top 25

By: PETE BETZ

Week 10 has passed, and the titanic battle for No. 1 has given the GC Top 25 a new leader. LSU came out victorious with a 9-6 win in overtime against Alabama. Oklahoma State leaped up to No. 2, and Houston joined the Top 10 teams as Case Keenum continues to light up the scoreboards.

We’ve gathered a handful of our esteemed Gator Country members and asked them to pick their own Top 25, so we can put together our very own Top 25 poll!  This week, we had 15 participants who took the time to put together a ballot for us.

Stanford remained at No. 3 for the third week in a row, and Alabama dropped slightly to No. 4 after a tough defensive battle with LSU.  Boise State slipped to No. 5.

Clemson rejoins the Top 10 at No. 9, and Houston comes in at No. 10 by virtue of a Gamecock loss to the Razorbacks and a sub-par Hokie performance in their bye week.

Arkansas remained at No. 8 to give the SEC three teams in the Top 10.  South Carolina dropped to No. 14, a spot ahead of Georgia, and Auburn slides up to the No. 22 spot.  Florida dropped out of the rankings, giving the SEC six teams in this week’s GC Top 25.
