Headed to Atlanta for the SEC Championship Game? Read on to find out how to join hundreds of fellow Gator Country folks for the festivities as they converge at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Power’s Ferry Road…
At last count, well over 200 folks reserved over 100 rooms at the Crowne Plaza Hotel (Atlanta Perimeter NW—6435 Powers Ferry Road) to take advantage of our special Gator Country rate, so there’s sure to be tons of fun loving Gators milling around the hotel!
We also promised a fun “Get-Together” at the hotel so you can finally put names to the faces of the many Gator Country posters on our popular forums.
On Friday night from 8pm to midnight in the banquet room at the Crowne Plaza, we’ll have drinks, snacks, and “finger foods” as well as a cash bar available. To help defray our expenses from renting the room and providing the food, drinks, etc. the cost will be $10 per adult and $5 per child.
We’ll have a Gator Country banner and a sign out to guide you to the banquet area, so be on the look out for it! You do not need to be a hotel guest to participate – everyone is welcome… Come one, come all!!!
If you’re still looking for a hotel, the Crowne Plaza still has rooms available, but they are no longer discounted. Still, their rates are reasonable for a very nice hotel—call them at 770-955-1700 and tell them you’re with the Gator Country group.
Don’t forget on Saturday, the Alumni Association is also hosting a pep rally at the Georgia World Congress Center, Rms 303-305. Hang out with the rest of the Gator Nation, as well as the UF Cheerleaders, Band, and Albert. There will be giveaways, DJ, Cash Bar, light snacks and FUN for the whole family! It all starts at 2pm.
Unfortunately, we were unable to secure the services of a charter bus firm at this late date, but many of us will be taking the MARTA train to the Georgia Dome from near the hotel.
