Go Orange at Capital One!

ORLANDO, Fla. – With the University of Florida football team set to meet Michigan at the Capital One Bowl on Tuesday, Jan. 1, all Gator fans are being asked to arrive early and wear orange for the highly-anticipated clash with the Wolverines. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. and ABC will televise the sold-out contest to a national audience.

In addition, Gator fans will also have the opportunity to have their picture taken with the Heisman Memorial Trophy at the following Capital One Bowl events:

*Sunday, Dec. 30, at the Gator Pep Rally located at the Bowl-a-Palooza FanFest inside of the Orange County Convention Center

*Monday, Dec. 31, at the Capital One Bowl Kickoff Luncheon located at the Renaissance Orlando Resort

*Tuesday, Jan. 1, at the Capital One FanFest prior to the big game

This year’s Capital One Bowl features two esteemed programs with deep roots in college football history. The Heisman Trophy has been presented to three recipients at both the University of Florida and the University of Michigan, including this year’s winner, Tim Tebow

(Jacksonville, Fla.), the only sophomore to win the prestigious award. The other two Gator recipients are Steve Spurrier in 1966 and Danny Wuerffel in 1996.
