After week eight, Nick and PD have pulled closer to Seth.
Nick de la Torre
I made up some ground last week and my upset special pick of UCF worked out just like I drew it up. I’m in second place this week and I’m picking all of the SEC teams to win their out of conference games and A&M to beat Vandy, Mizzou to beat South Carolina and the Tide to roll over Tennessee.
I’m coming for you Seth.
David “PD” Parker
Miami over Wake: It just doesn’t get any easier than the ACC. Miami and FSU are back to having 3-game schedules again now that they are decent again.
Louisville over USF: Louisville is primed for a mini-spiral, but USF is not going to provide any resistance.
UCF over UConn: If Miami played Central Florida instead of regular Florida, they wouldn’t be undefeated.
FSU over NCSU: Noles won’t be caught napping by the Wolfpack.
SC over Missouri: I think Carolina was caught by UT last week peeking ahead to this game and the Tigers have played at the highest level they can for 3-straight weeks and are due for a letdown.
PSU over OSU: Simply put, the Buckeyes’ year and a half straight of ridonkyoolus luck finally runs out.
Andrew Spivey
Don’t look now but your boy AS is moving closer to the top of this thing, as last week I passed up Mr. Thompson and gained ground on David and Richard. This week’s upset I’m going with Texas Tech over Florida.
Daniel “DK” Thompson
See what happens when you go for the upsets to climb up the rankings and lose? You fall to last place. But no matter, I picked a lot of chalk this week and expect a lot of chalk to win. I do not see any games that I am not confident about. I think Missouri’s luck runs out this week; I think Oregon will take care of feisty UCLA; and I see Texas A&M doing just fine against Vanderbilt, even though Vandy just won a big game against UGA.
Seth Puglio
Missouri virtually ends the SEC East race rather early this year by putting down SC. Missouri fans should be proud of what this team is doing this year but I don’t expect the Gators, Dawgs and Gamecocks to allow the Tigers to have similar success in the near future. Penn St. gives OSU a game but again, all the close games this week look to be in the favorite’s friendly confines.
Richard Johnson
I think it’s time for Ohio St. to lose. While the Buckeyes have looked good, they haven’t looked especially dominant. I think Christian Hackenburg steps up and trips up the Buckeyes.
David Shepard
I’m picking USC to beat Missouri and turn the SEC East into a mad scramble where there could be three two loss teams at the end of the season. The Tigers still have to go to A&M so that’s why I see a three way tie at the end.
