Gator Boosters begin improvement campaign

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Gator Boosters, Inc. and the University Athletic Association have recently launched a new campaign, “Gateway of Champions,” which will raise money for the expansion of the football offices, Gator Room and weight room, while providing a “front door” to the Gator Football program.

The highlight of the project will be a two-story atrium entrance to the Gator Football offices that will include interactive displays, trophy cases featuring the National Championship, Southeastern Conference Championship and Heisman trophies, and other memorabilia to commemorate and highlight the best moments and traditions in the history of Florida football. The football coaches’ offices will also be expanded and renovated, while also updating and expanding all video and meeting rooms for the team and staff. The Gator Room, a primary stop for all Gator Football recruits and their families on game days, is being doubled to nearly 4,000 square feet. The expansion of the weight room will triple its current size to provide all Gator student-athletes over 20,000 square feet of space.

Gator Boosters has set up several contribution levels for people wishing to assist with this project. Booster benefits for donating to the Gateway of Champions range from Gator Booster Football Priority Points and recognition in Booster publications, to dinners with Athletics Director Jeremy Foley or Head Football Coach Urban Meyer, to one-of-a-kind game day experiences with the Gator Football team.
