For the first time in school history the Florida Gators will culminate spring football practice by holding the annual spring game on a Friday night.
Friday the school announced that the annual Orange and Blue Debut would be held on Friday, April 8 at 7 p.m. with free admission to all those who wish to attend.
The move from Saturday to Friday also presents advantages in that the Gators won’t have to share a date with other teams, allowing a stage all their own to showcase the team to fans and recruits. The following day, April 9, Florida State, Clemson, Oklahoma, Kansas, Auburn and Texas A&M will hold their spring games.
Will the game be broadcasted on TV, like the SEC Network for example?
It usually is on SEC network or fox sports south or whatever it’s called. The channel the Muschamp show was on.
I think it’s a great idea to have it Friday night. It will probably draw in Alot of Gator recruits from Florida.
We’re told that it will be televised but those details are still being worked out. Likely on ESPN family of networks (SEC Network).
