2015 Orlando (Fla.) tight end Garrett Williams camped at Florida in June and picked up a Gator offer with his performance. On Friday, the high sought after tight end returned to Gainesville.

The 6-foot-4, 221-pound Williams didn’t participate in Friday Night Lights but he was spectator and met with the coaches.

“I didn’t work out because we had two-a-days this week,” Williams said. “I had a whole camp week the week before, so my coach told me to just come and watch and not work out so, that’s what I did.”

While the Florida coaches want everyone to work out, they were still pleased to see Williams back on campus.

“I wanted to talk with the coaches and get more familiar with them,” Williams said. “I got to talk about the offense more and I was able to get more familiar with the area and the campus around Gainesville.”

Williams says that he wants to visit Florida this fall but he doesn’t have any set plans for a game or visit.

With the football season fast approaching, Williams wants to start focusing more on the season than the recruiting process.

“My plan is to take my mind off of the recruiting process and focus on my season,” Williams said. “Well except for the games I’m going to go too. After the season I should be able to cut my list down. Florida should make that cut, definitely.”

With Williams only being a 2015 prospect, coaches aren’t allowed to call him but he admits to calling five programs.

“ Of course I have to call them, but I call five teams,” Williams said. “I call Clemson, Tennessee , FSU, Florida and Alabama but I don’t call anyone any more than the other.”

Williams is listed as a tight end, but the Gators are also talking to him about playing on the defensive side of the ball as well.
