Tuesday coaching visits

The Gators hit the road recruiting hard the first day of the evaluation period and that continued on Tuesday.

Coaches were spotted in Louisiana, Texas, New Jersey, New York and Virginia evaluating prospects from all classes.

Here is the prospects that GatorCountry has confirmed that the Gators coaching staff has visited on Tuesday.

Offensive line coach Tim Davis visited Baton Rouge (La.) University Laboratory School offensive lineman Garrett Brumfield.

Tim Davis also visited New Orleans (La.) St. Augustine offensive lineman Joseph Paul on Tuesday.

Receiver coach Joker Phillips visited Mount Pleasant (Tx.) High receiver KD Cannon.

Joker Phillips also visited Longview (Tx.) High receiver Dorian Leonard.

Joker Phillips also went to see Dallas (Tx.) Lincoln receiver Emaunel Porter on Tuesday.

Defensive coordinator D.J. Durkin visited Virginia Beach (Va.) Bayside safety Quin Blanding

D.J. Durkin also visited Chesapeake (Va.) Oscar Smith defensive tackle Andrew Brown.

Running back Brian White and cornerback coach Travaris Robinson visited Brooklyn (N.Y.) Erasmus Hall Campus running back Curtis Samuel.

Brian White and Travaris Robinson visited Brooklyn (N.Y.) Abraham Lincoln defensive tackle Thomas Holley.

White and Robinson also went to visit Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter’s Prep running back Jonathan Hilliman on Tuesday.

Andrew always knew he wanted to be involved with sports in some capacity. He began by coaching high school football for six years before deciding to pursue a career in journalism. While coaching, he was a part of two state semifinal teams in the state of Alabama. Given his past coaching experience, he figured covering recruiting would be a perfect fit. He began his career as an intern for Rivals.com, covering University of Florida football recruiting. After interning with Rivals for six months, he joined the Gator Country family as a recruiting analyst.
