Thomas Holley Signee Profile

Thomas Holley

School: Abraham Lincoln

Hometown: Brooklyn, New York

Height: 6-4

Weight: 299

Position: Defensive tackle

Rivals Ranking: 4-Star

Recruited by: Brad Lawing

Notable: Originally committed to Penn State but told Gator Country when he checked in at the 2014 Under Armour Game that if (Penn State head coach) Bill O’Brien left that he would look elsewhere. After O’Brien quit to go to the Houston Texans, and ace PSU recruiter Larry Johnson went to Ohio State, Holley flipped to Florida. He is best friends with fellow Florida signee Khairi Clark and the relationship they share played a part in Holley’s flip. In his senior season he recorded 65 tackles, 24 tackles for loss, seven sacks and a fumble recovery. In the Under Armour game, Holley registered four total tackles.

Quotable: “The decision for me to make the switch was an easy one,” Holley told Gator Country. “It was going to be difficult for me to build a relationship with all new coaches in two weeks and it really came down to the wire between Penn State and Florida when I committed. There was no hesitation at all for me when I decided to make the switch.”

Richard Johnson
Richard lives in Gainesville and prides himself in being a bonafide lifelong Alachua County Resident. He attends the University of Florida and is in his third year studying Telecommunications. He isn’t sure how he started loving football being the son of two immigrants that don’t care about the sport, but he has developed a borderline unhealthy obsession with it. In his free time, Richard watches other sports and is an avid fan of the Los Angeles Lakers and Tampa Bay Rays. He doesn’t like chocolate, knows Moe’s is better than Chipotle and drinks way too many Arnold Palmers. He also took up golf in the summer of 2012. That pursuit isn’t going well. You can listen to him talk about sports during the Cheapseats radio show on ESPN 850-WRUF or online at WRUF.com. Follow him on Twitter at @RagjUF.
