RECRUITING: James Wilson still committed

Offensive guard James Wilson continues to lead Allen D. Nease High School to a successful season. The Panthers are currently 9-0 and show no signs of slowing down.

“We just beat Middleburg high 49-0. We just keep on rolling. We have no plans short of a state championship again this year.”

With Nease taking care of business off of the field, the 6’5”, 305 pound offensive guard continues to claim he has taken care of the his recruiting.

“I am still 100% committed to USC. It’s just a great school. I really like the location and the whole Los Angeles, California area.”

With Wilson set to move across the country for college, many claim that a key reason is that his father lives in California. The five-star rated guard agrees that this did have an impact on his recruiting.

“Yeah that played a role. It’s a big bonus to have him out there too.”

Though he is committed to USC, Wilson has been to the Swamp already this year, however he claims it to be merely to watch his old teammate, Tim Tebow, play.

“I visited the Florida/Alabama game earlier this year. It was a lot of fun. I got to see Timmy play and actually watched him score. We got to talk after the game. It was good to get to catch up with him like that.”

Wilson also gets to see Gator commit Justin Grant everyday in practice, and realizes the Gators have the commitment of a solid athlete.

“He is a great guy and is really athletic on the field. He will be a very good player.”

Even with James Wilson continuing to be so widely recruited, he continues to claim a complete commitment to the Trojans. Wherever Wilson winds up on Signing day, he will become a staple in the offensive line at his chosen school.
