Every Monday Gator Country presents the Prep Rewind with scores and stats that from the weekend’s high school games that involved Florida commitments and targets.

Week 14 player of the week is: Will Grier

Here are the stats and scores from the past weekend:

Philadelphia (Pa.) Martin Luther King offensive lineman Dontae Angus

Results: MLK lost to Archbishop Wood 52-8 on Saturday.

Stats: Angus had a tackle in the loss.

Casper (WY.) Natrona County defensive end Taven Bryan

Results: Natrona County end its season with an 8-4 record.

Stats: N/A

Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade Madonna defensive tackle Khairi Clark

Results: Chaminade Madonna finished its year with a 2-7 record.

Stats: Clark finished the year with 45 tackles, six sacks and three field goal blocks.

Miami (Fla.) Central running back Dalvin Cook

Results: Central advanced to the third round of the playoffs with a 59-14 win over Dillard

Stats: Cook had 12 carries for 78 yards and two touchdowns. Cook also returned an interception back for a touchdown.

Cross City (Fla.) Dixie County cornerback Duke Dawson

Results: Dixie County defeated Union County 30-20 to advance to the third round of the playoffs.

Stats: Dawson had four tackles in the win.

Jacksonville (Fla.) Raines offensive lineman Travaris Dorsey

Results: Raines lost to Bolles 35-28 to end its season with a 9-3 record.

Derby (KS) Derby tight end Deandre Goolsby

Results: Derby defeated Garden City 55-17 to advance to the state championship game.

Stats: Goolsby had 151 yards receiving and two touchdowns in the win.

Davidson (N.C.) Day quarterback Will Grier

Results: Davidson Day won its third straight state championship by defeating Harrels Christian 69-28

Stats: Grier threw for 599 yards and seven touchdowns in the win. Grier also added 57 yards rushing and another touchdown.

Immokalee (Fla.) High cornerback J.C. Jackson

Results: Immokalee lost to American Heritage 49-34 to finish its season with a 9-3 record.

Stats: Jackson had 6 catches for 90 yards and two touchdowns.

Mount Pleasant (S.C.) Wando offensive lineman Nolan Kelleher

Results: Wando ended its season with a 42-14 lost to Byrnes.

Plantation (Fla.) High cornerback Chris Lammons

Results: Plantation lost to St. Thomas Aquinas 20-6 to finish with an 8-3 record.

Homestead (Fla.) High receiver Ermon Lane

Results: Homestead ended its season with a 6-5 record.

Stats: Lane ended the year with 31 catches and 605 yards and 8 touchdowns.

Tuscaloosa (Al.) Kingwood Christian tight end C’yontai Lewis

Results: Kingwood Christian ended its season with a 9-4 record.

Stats: Lewis ended the year with 45 catches for 703 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Clearwater (Fla.) Central Catholic defensive end Justus Reed

Results: Central Catholic defeated St. Petersburg Catholic 49-16 to advance to round three.

Stats: Reed had 1 sack in the win.

Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) University cornerback Quincy Wilson

Results: University School lost to Booker T 45-17 to end its season with a 10-3 record.

Andrew Spivey
Andrew always knew he wanted to be involved with sports in some capacity. He began by coaching high school football for six years before deciding to pursue a career in journalism. While coaching, he was a part of two state semifinal teams in the state of Alabama. Given his past coaching experience, he figured covering recruiting would be a perfect fit. He began his career as an intern for Rivals.com, covering University of Florida football recruiting. After interning with Rivals for six months, he joined the Gator Country family as a recruiting analyst.
