Prep Preview week 7

Where are the commitments playing this weekend? Gator Country takes a look at where all 14 of Florida’s recruiting class of 2014 commitments will be playing.

Philadelphia (Pa.) Martin Luther King offensive lineman Dontae Angus

Martin Luther King school will  travel to Boys’ Latin Charter, looking to 6-2 on the year.

Casper (WY.) Natrona County defensive end Taven Bryan

Trying to rebound from a tough loss, Natrona County looks for its  fourth win of the year against South School.

Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade Madonna defensive tackle Khairi Clark

Chaminade Madonna is looking for its first win of the season, hosting Champagnat Catholic.

Miami (Fla.) Central running back Dalvin Cook

The second-ranked Miami Central Rockets will take on Norland this week, looking for their fifth win of the season.

Cross City (Fla.) Dixie County cornerback Duke Dawson

Dixie County hosts  Hamilton County in a bid to stay undefeated.

Jacksonville (Fla.) Raines offensive lineman Travaris Dorsey

The Raines Vikings put their  3-1 record on the line as they travel to Fletcher Friday evening.

Davidson (N.C.) Day quarterback Will Grier

The 6-0 Davidson Day team takes on Charlotte Country Day.

Immokalee (Fla.) High cornerback J.C. Jackson

Immokalee will play host to Naples on Friday night, looking for a fifth straight win.

Mount Pleasant (S.C.) Wando offensive lineman Nolan Kelleher

Wando is coming off of a bye week and will play host to West Ashley in a key game.

Plantation (Fla.) High cornerback Chris Lammons

The 4-1 Plantation Colonels will play host to Blanche Ely.

Homestead (Fla.) High receiver Ermon Lane

Homestead will travel to take on Palmetto Thursday night to rebound from a loss last week.

Tuscaloosa (Al.) Kingwood Christian tight end C’yontai Lewis

Kingwood will play host to Ward Military Academy on Friday night.

Clearwater (Fla.) Central Catholic defensive end Justus Reed

Central Catholic has a bye week.

Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) University cornerback Quincy Wilson

University school has a bye week.

Andrew always knew he wanted to be involved with sports in some capacity. He began by coaching high school football for six years before deciding to pursue a career in journalism. While coaching, he was a part of two state semifinal teams in the state of Alabama. Given his past coaching experience, he figured covering recruiting would be a perfect fit. He began his career as an intern for Rivals.com, covering University of Florida football recruiting. After interning with Rivals for six months, he joined the Gator Country family as a recruiting analyst.
