Moore and Epps sign with UF

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida football program added its first prospects to the 2008 recruiting class by announcing the signing of wide receiver Carl Moore (Roseville, Calif./Sierra C.C.) and defensive tackle Troy Epps (Coffeyville, Kan./Coffeyville C.C.) Wednesday as the junior-college signing period opened.

Moore reeled in 1,068 yards on 73 receptions in his second year for Sierra, which advanced to the NorCal Junior College Championship Game in California this year. Epps comes from a Coffeyville program that produced former Florida All-American safety and Jacksonville Jaguars’ first-round selection Reggie Nelson.

Moore will provide another weapon for a Gator offensive aerial attack that averaged 462 yards of offense per game. Epps, who attended Union High School in South Carolina, will join a Florida defensive line that was first in the SEC in rush defense this season, allowing 99.3 yards per game.
