With the 2012 Under Armour and Army All- American games behind us, the recruiting picture is coming into clearer focus. We’ve got a firm grasp on who the top recruits in the country are, so we’ve updated our GatorCountry.com composite rankings.
Wednesday we unveiled Part III of our 385-man ranking. Today we show you the recruits who ranked from 101-385 in the country’s four biggest recruiting services in Part II of our composite rankings.
On Friday, we’ll unveil the official GatorCountry.com Composite 100 (Part I).
Of the 285 prospects in this chunk of our composite rankings, the Florida Gators had nine commits.
Today, safety Marcus Maye checks in at No. 113, tight end Colin Thompson checks in at No. 140, running back Matt Jones checks in at No. 159, defensive lineman Dante Phillips checks in at No. 166 and linebacker Jeremi Powell checks in at No. 217.
On Wednesday, safety Rhaheim Ledbetter checked in at No. 278, linebacker Antonio Morrison checked in at No. 320, defensive lineman Quinteze Williams checked in at No. 328 and wide receiver Latroy Pittman checked in at No. 335.
Florida was one of 19 schools with at least six verbal commitments in Part II of the GatorCountry.com composite rankings. LSU leads the SEC in this part of our composite ranking with 11 commitments, while Florida trailed with nine, Tennessee with eight, Auburn with seven and Alabama and Arkansas with six.
Only 24 of the 285 prospects in Part II of the GatorCountry.com composite rankings are currently uncommitted. The 285 pledged prospects were committed to 62 different schools, including every SEC school but Kentucky.
Twenty-eight prospects in this chunk of the GatorCountry.com composite rankings were from the state of Florida. All of them are currently committed.
Florida and Miami both have five committed prospects in Part II of the composite rankings from the state of Florida. Florida State has three, while South Florida, Auburn and Tennessee all have two.
