GC Game of Week: Lakeland-De La Salle

The Lakeland Dreadnaughts flew to northern California to play powerhouse De La Salle High School of Concord, Calif., and came away with a 31-30 overtime victory in Week 4 of the high school football season. The game, which kicked off at 10 p.m. EDT, finished at 1:30 a.m. Saturday time.

The Dreadnaughts, ranked No. 2 behind St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale) in Class 5A, moved to 3-0 on the season with the victory at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, Calif., not far from San Francisco Bay. The game was televised by ESPN2.
