Gators Recruiting: Coaches visits 2.1

On Thursday, the Gators coaching staff and more importantly Will Muschamp had a busy day’s work.

The Gators visited prospects in the states of Florida, Michigan, Kentucky, Tennessee and South Carolina.

Here is who the coaching staff visited on Thursday:

Offensive line coach Tim Davis visited Canton (Mich.) High offensive lineman Cameron Dillard.

Muschamp and receivers coach Joker Phillips visited Frankfort (Ky.) Franklin County receiver Ryan Timmons.

Muschamp visited 2014 Hendersonville (Tenn.) Beech Senior running back Jalen Hurd on Wednesday.

Muschamp and Phillips visited and offered 2014 Gallatin (Tenn.) Station Camp receiver Josh Malone.

Muschamp, Phillips and offensive coordinator Brent Pease visited Brentwood (Tenn.) Academy quarterback Max Staver.

Muschamp, Phillips, cornerbacks coach Travaris Robinson and defensive coordinator D.J. Durkin visited Brentwood (Tenn.) Academy cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

Defensive ends coach Brad Lawing visited 2015 Bluffton (S.C.) High defensive end Shameik Blackshear.

Lawing also visited 2015 Orangeburg (S.C.) Orangeburg Wilkinson defensive end Albert Huggins.

Andrew always knew he wanted to be involved with sports in some capacity. He began by coaching high school football for six years before deciding to pursue a career in journalism. While coaching, he was a part of two state semifinal teams in the state of Alabama. Given his past coaching experience, he figured covering recruiting would be a perfect fit. He began his career as an intern for Rivals.com, covering University of Florida football recruiting. After interning with Rivals for six months, he joined the Gator Country family as a recruiting analyst.
