Gators recruiting: Coaches visits 1.26

Friday ended a long week for the Florida coaching staff as they have been on the road recruiting since last Sunday.

On Friday they visited prospects in the states of Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and Virginia.

Here is who the coaches visited on Friday:

Will Muschamp visited 2015 Miami (Fla.) Killian cornerback Jaquan Johnson on Friday.

Muschamp visited 2014 Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) University School cornerback Quincy Wilson.

Cornerbacks coach Travaris Robinson, defensive coordinator D.J. Durkin and receiver coach Joker Phillip visited Brentwood (Tn.) Academy cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

Defensive ends coach Brad Lawing visited 2014 Woodbridge (Va.) Senior defensive end Da’Shawn Hand.

D.J. Durkin visited 2014 Greensboro (N.C.) Dudley linebacker Chris Register on Friday.

Defensive line coach Bryant Young visited 2014 Suwanee (Ga.) North Gwinnett defensive end Dante Sawyer.

Bryant Young also visited 2014 McDonough (Ga.) Eagle’s Landing Christian defensive end Andrew Williams.

Receiver coach Joker Phillips visited 2014 Lake Worth (Fla.) Santaluces  receiver Darrell Langham.

Joker Phillips also visited 2014 West Palm Beach (Fla.) Cardinal Newman receiver Travis Rudolph.

Andrew always knew he wanted to be involved with sports in some capacity. He began by coaching high school football for six years before deciding to pursue a career in journalism. While coaching, he was a part of two state semifinal teams in the state of Alabama. Given his past coaching experience, he figured covering recruiting would be a perfect fit. He began his career as an intern for, covering University of Florida football recruiting. After interning with Rivals for six months, he joined the Gator Country family as a recruiting analyst.
