It’s that time of the year again where the Friday Night Lights are bright and prospects all across the country are trying to shine on the field to impress college coaches and win a state championship ring before heading to college.
Like the past years Gator Country is going to do a preview every Thursday for all of the Florida Gators recruiting commits and on Monday we will do a full recap including stats and notes from the past weeks games.
This year we are going to also to name a player of the week from the commits games.
High School Recap
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Daquon Green: Green had six catches for 93 yards and two touchdowns.
2017 commits
Quarterback Jake Allen (6-3, 200, Fort Lauderdale, FL. St. Thomas Aquinas)
Result: St. Thomas Aquinas had a bye week this week.
Game Stats: Allen has four touchdown passes on the year.
Notes: St. Thomas returns to the field next Friday night.
Defensive back Elijah Blades (6-2, 170, Pasadena, CA. John Muir)
Result: Muri lost to La Salle on Friday night by a score of 44-6.

Andrew, like what we are seeing from our offensive guys, especially Daquan Green. I think he might be one of the biggest sleepers in the country. However I have one question, is St. Thomas Aquinas a run heavy team? I would think that with all that talent at receiver Allen would put up video game stats. I still think Allen is going to be a good QB down the road just curious about the high school production while playing on a team with receiver talent 99% of high school QB’s would sell their soul for. Allen most of the time is out of the game by the time they reach halftime because his team is winning big. St. Thomas is a run heavy team though.
