Florida visit up in the air for Clark

Florida already has five receivers in the Class of 2013 but with the lack of playmakers on the team the Gators are still trying to add one more.

The receiver getting the most attention from Florida is New Smyrna Beach (Fla.) High’s James Clark, who took an official visit to Clemson this past weekend.

The 5-foot-11, 170-pound Clark is scheduled to visit Florida next weekend for his fifth and final official, but that may not happen now.

“I haven’t officially cancelled it yet,” Clark said. “But I’m kind of need a break I guess all of the visits are tiring.”

Clark did unofficially Florida on Jan. 6, so not visiting Florida doesn’t eliminate the Gators from contention.

“Not at all does it eliminate them,” Clark said. “I love Florida. I’ve just been to Gainesville probably five times already, so it’s not a big deal.”

GatorCountry.com has been told by sources close to the team that the Gators would still like to have Clark officially visit, either next weekend or the weekend before signing day.
