Florida offers 2016 quarterback

Over the past week the Florida coaches have had a number of quarterbacks throw for Brent Pease and the rest of the staff.

On Friday the Gators offered 2016 Crawfordville (Fla.) Wakulla quarterback Felipe’ Franks.

“Coach (Brent ) Pease and coach (Will) Muschamp both kind of offered me after camp,” Franks said. “They said that they liked the way I threw a tight spiral and could fit throws into tight spots and that I had a good work ethic out at camp.”

The 6-foot-5, 190-pound Franks also got a lot of words of encouragement from the two Gator coaches.

“Working with coach Pease was good, he has a good style,” Franks said. “He was intense and gets everyone pumped up. He was teaching me some footwork drills and telling me how to get better with my feet. Coach Muschamp was telling me that he wants me to be a Gator and that he liked how relaxed I was during the camp and how he liked my pocket presence out there.”

When Franks was at Florida for the football camp he was also able to see the campus and the university up close.

“I really like the facilities there,” Franks said. “The practice field was nice and the campus was nice. The game field in the Swamp is great and the atmosphere around town was good. I’ve been to a game before and the crowd supports you and it’s always loud in there.”

Franks says he plans to visit Florida multiple times this fall.
