Florida Gators recruits react to the Gators electrifying win

The Florida Gators pulled off a great comeback win against the Tennessee Volunteers and it was a sight that many on the Florida Gators recruiting visitor’s list enjoyed seeing.

The South end zone was slam full of prospects visiting the Florida Gators and the atmosphere in the Swamp was something that they noticed in a big way.

Gator Country.com talked to several top notch prospects to get their take on the game and their reaction to the Swamp on Saturday afternoon.

2016 prospects

Receiver Nate Craig-Myers-“It was a great atmosphere out there. Atmosphere-wise this game ranked at the top of the list. All blue, you can’t beat that.”

Florida Gators commit Isaiah Johnson-“It was exciting the way they fought back in the game. I’m proud to be committed to a school like that.”

Tight end Isaac Nauta-“I wanted to see what the atmosphere was like because I’ve heard about the Gators can do. It was electric and it was probably the loudest I’ve heard in a long time when they scored that touchdown.

Florida Gators commit Lamical Perine-“Most definitely the loudest stadium I’ve ever been in. My favorite part was the Kelvin Taylor 55-yard run in the first half.”

Defensive end Jachai Polite-“It was great. The atmosphere was very energized, I loved it here.”

Defensive tackle Shavar Manuel-“It was great and a very hard fought match-up. It was a great game to watch and the atmosphere was very loud. This was my first game ever at Florida for gameday.”

Defensive end Jordan Woods-“Crazy.”

Offensive lineman Marcus Tatum-“It was a great game and a great atmosphere.”

Florida Gators offensive line commit Branton Autry-“I’m glad they got a big time win. Go Gators.”

Florida Gators receiver commit Rick Wells-“The game was exciting and Antonio Callaway is the real deal. Good night to be a Gator.”

Florida Gators safety commit Jeawon Taylor-“It was a great game. I’m glad we came out in the second half playing Florida football.”

2017 prospects

Defensive back Cyrus Fagan“It was a great game and Florida pulled it out. My ears kept ringing because the fans were screaming so loud.”

Defensive end Zach Carter-“I’m amazed with the heart they played with tonight and I was blown away by the atmosphere.”

Running back Devan Barrett-“It was a crazy game the Swamp is a great atmosphere to be in and I plan on coming up there again.”

Florida Gators receiver commit Daquon Green-“I like the way they fought through adversity and came together and got the W.”

  1. All those recruits? That had to have been ridonkulous for a lot of those kids, I mean really. Swamp was insane. Great, great win. If that doesn’t make you want to come to Gator town…man. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of that? Go Gators.
